5-Day Club

What is a 5-Day Club?
A 5-Day Club ® is an evangelistic neighbourhood Bible club for children held in a Christian home or other community location for an hour and a half for five consecutive days.

A summer missionary teaches exciting and dynamic Bible lessons on the child's level along with an inspiring missionary story. Boys and girls also participate in games, singing, sharing and memorizing Bible verses.

Who Can Attend?
5-Day Club is open to all boys and girls between the ages of five and twelve, regardless of religious background. You are welcome to attend the club with your child.

Who Teaches a 5-Day Club?
Christians who are concerned for the spiritual well-being of your child teach the club. These teachers have received specialized training from CEF.

Is there a Cost?
There is no charge for your child to attend.

Good News Club

The Good News Club is a weekly, one hour Bible club for children ages 5-12 that includes a Bible lesson with an evangelistic or discipleship emphasis, and can include action-packed songs, life changing memory verses, and fun exciting games that reinforce the truth of the Bible lesson.

Where Does a Good News Club Meet?
Good News Clubs meet in the neighbourhood where children live. They meet most often in the friendly atmosphere of a home. Good News Clubs also meet at community centres, churches or most anywhere children will gather together.

Who Teaches a Good News Club?
Christians who are concerned for boys and girls work together volunteering their time to teach Good News Clubs. They are trained by CEF to have a club that is exciting and informative so that children will want to keep coming. Teachers sign the CEF Statement of Faith, Life Style Agreement and have a current police check.

What Can a Good News Club do for My Neighbourhood?
A Good News Club can identify a home in the neighbourhood that is safe for a child to go to in time of trouble. It brings the teaching of biblical morality to his neighbourhood. It connects the child and his family to others where they live developing a good community spirit. When you leave your home on Sunday to go to church, others in your neighbourhood know you are religious. When you teach children in your neighbourhood God's Word, your neighbourhood learns what you believe.

Junior Youth Challenge

Junior Youth Challenge (JYC) is a ministry designed for young people, as they are in the pre-teens or tweens stage of their life, usually between the age of 11-14.  There is a need to continue to reach these young people with the gospel and to build into their lives.

JYC provides an opportunity for:
·        Follow-up of years invested in children
·         Further opportunity for evangelism
·        Helping young believers grow
·        Helping churches with their youth work
·        Counteracting the world’s influence
·        Providing stability through changing years
·        Prepare future leaders

Mailbox Club™
The Mailbox Club™ is a Bible correspondence club which can be enjoyed by people of all ages and is a means of on-going support and follow-up. We encourage the children that attend our programs to enroll in the Mailbox Club™. Bible lessons are sent by mail to the students. Through these lessons they learn the great truths of the Bible.

Tel-A-Story
Children across Canada can call 1-877-456-0456 and hear a new story every day. Stories generously provided by CBH Ministries ( Grand Rapids, Michigan) provide boys and girls the opportunity to think like Jesus in every day situations.

Children listen to a three-minute story and if they have any questions they can press zero and speak to a trained, screened counsellor. Children ask questions about the story, they mostly ask questions about the reality of God and does He really love them and care for them.

Children have so many questions, they want to talk and ask for prayer. We are meeting a need and providing discipleship material to encourage children to have a Biblical worldview. The calls that are toll-free and are generously supported by churches and individuals who believe that we are making a difference by meeting the spiritual needs of the children. If you would like to donate to Tel-A-Story, contact the CEF BC office.

In the meantime share the phone number with a child.
